Monday 13 July: Experience an Extraordinary Evening at Vaux-le-Vicomte
This summer, enjoy a very special Candlelit Evening in a more festive atmosphere than ever before.
On the eve of Bastille Day, Vaux-le-Vicomte transforms its iconic Candlelit Evening into a truly unforgettable summer celebration. A chic guinguette, open-air DJ sets, illuminated stilt walkers, a spectacular drone show and an elegant dress code will enhance the magic of the 2,000 candles and the magnificent French formal gardens.
An exclusive event not to be missed, offering the chance to experience the estate in a whole new light… and keep the celebrations going until 1.00am.
A festive atmosphere from 6.00pm
From the moment you arrive, immerse yourself in the welcoming atmosphere of our guinguette, set in the heart of the estate.
In an exceptional setting, relax to a carefully curated lounge music programme as you wander through the gardens, enjoy a drink with friends or family, and admire the last rays of sunshine over the magnificent parterres designed by André Le Nôtre.
As night falls, the atmosphere changes and the celebrations come alive. Two open-air DJ sets will bring the estate to life, inviting visitors to dance beneath the stars in a setting unlike any other.
A garden filled with light and wonder
As the 2,000 candles are gradually lit throughout the gardens, illuminated stilt walkers will wander among the visitors.
Their graceful silhouettes and sparkling costumes will add a touch of poetry and enchantment to this timeless evening. Whether encountered along a tree-lined avenue, beside a reflecting pool or in front of the illuminated château, they will create magical moments to enjoy and capture forever.
A spectacular drone show to light up the sky
From 11.00pm, for approximately 12 minutes, 120 illuminated drones will take to the skies to present a unique aerial performance beside the château. Perfectly synchronised, they will create a succession of luminous figures specially designed for Vaux-le-Vicomte.
To enjoy the show, stand in the gardens facing the château and look to your left.
Combining poetry, cutting-edge technology and respect for the environment, this spectacular display will provide a breathtaking finale beneath the stars.
