Key Dates of the Year at Vaux-le-Vicomte
The 2026 season promises to be rich in emotion, discovery and unmissable events at Vaux-le-Vicomte. From the reopening on 14 March, visitors will once again enjoy the signature experiences that have made the estate so popular, alongside several new immersive features.
Among the permanent experiences, The Mystery of the Iron Mask invites visitors of all ages to embark on an immersive cultural walk through the gardens. The Trail of Textures, a barefoot sensory trail, offers an original exploration of the estate’s underground river and its historic materials. From 14 May, The Sounding Forest will present a unique artistic experience, where the words of Jean de La Fontaine resonate within sculpted cedar trees.
Spring will be marked by The Great Easter Egg Hunt, from 4 to 6 April, a family event that has become a cherished tradition. During the spring holidays (18 April – 3 May), visitors will also be able to enjoy the garden trails and activities specially designed for children.
On 23 May, the Grand Siècle Rendez-vous will revive the festive spirit of Nicolas Fouquet: period costumes, performances, Baroque dances and fireworks will bring this exceptional day to life.
From 16 May to 26 September, the famous Candlelit Evenings will illuminate the château and gardens with the glow of more than two thousand candles. Artistic strolls, water displays, an immersive projection in the Grand Salon and fireworks will enhance these timeless evenings.
Summer will be dedicated to leisure and relaxation: supervised swimming in the Gerbe d’Eau basin, a children’s maze, activities along the Grand Canal, and quiet “siesta” moments in the Confessional Grove will enrich the visitor experience.
Finally, from 14 November to 3 January 2027, The Grand Noël will transport visitors on a magical journey through Christmas traditions from around the world.
A year 2026 filled with wonder, bringing together heritage, artistic creation and moments to share with family and friends.
