The Fouquet affaire
Living the History in 3D sound
Your support is essential
From March 2019, thanks to 3D sound, Nicolas Fouquet will again be master of Vaux-le-Vicomte!
Equipped with interactive headsets, visitors will relive the greatest hours of the estate.
Thanks to a reconstitution in 3D sound, they will be plunged into an immersive visit, incarnated by Nicolas Fouquet as the central character, the host who presents not only Louis XIV, Le Nôtre, Vatel, Molière, La Fontaine and all the others who contributed to this masterpiece of French art… but also those who schemed to bring about his fall from grace, ending at Pignerol prison.
Innovation thanks to augmented reality
For the first time in France, 3D sound integrates the visit of a château
3D sound, or binaural sound, is a technology that allows the creation of a natural sound universe, where sounds are localized in space, and come directly from in front of you, from behind, from the right and the left. The listener is at the center of the action, his experience totally immersive, that of a “cinema of sounds” in a real setting.
Visitors at the center of the action
The augmented reality of the three-dimensional acoustic experience puts visitors at the very center of the story as it unfolds: it is their movement that triggers the sounds of the scenes composing the visit.
They are completely surrounded by 3D sound: historic figures call out to them, doors slam as they walk by… Louis XIV himself decides to participate in part of the visit. The rooms of the château serve as the décor for the scheming that took place in the atmosphere of 17th century pomp and splendor.
The château comes to life in an innovative, playful manner, accessible to all, young and old.
Support the project and be present to experience its premiere at an exceptional, invitation-only evening at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte.
This innovative project has a total cost of 750.000 € budgeted over 2018 and 2019.
The Région Ile-de-France will contribute with 217.500 €. Support Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte in financing the remaining 532.500 €.
Donations qualify for a tax rebate for individuals residing in Europe and the United States : the château will help you in the different steps.
