A colorful holiday at the Château of Vaux-le-Vicomte

During the Spring break (zone C), both young and old are invited to step through the castle gates and discover its history through various immersive, playful, and interactive activities, immersing them in the heart of the 17th century!
The estate will be open every day from 12th to 27th April , from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the last ticket office access at 5:30 pm.
The estate is accessible daily by shuttle from Melun train station (Line R from Paris Gare de Lyon, 25mn).

Little Gardener
Children can take part in cultivating Vaux-le-Vicomte’s flora by planting a seed in the estate’s former vegetable garden!

The Treasure Hunt: The Golden Egg Hen

The Golden Egg Hen, a famous fable by Jean de La Fontaine, has hidden her golden eggs in the French garden’s alleys! Armed with a punch-card roadmap, visitors will help Jean de La Fontaine find all the eggs.
Booklet distributed during the spring break to all children.
Available for free throughout the school holidays in zone C.
Costume Rental

For the great pleasure of both big and little kids, enjoy the rental of period costumes during your castle visit! A unique experience to discover the castle interiors dressed as princesses and musketeers.

The immersive sound visit

Relive the fascinating story of Nicolas Fouquet through a spatialized sound device. The youth sound visit invites children to discover the castle, guided by Jean de La Fontaine and accompanied by Panache the flying squirrel, while the adult sound visit tells the story of the Fouquet Affair and immerses the visitor in the heart of the intrigue of the castle’s glory days and the downfall of the Superintendent of Finance.
No additional charge for the entrance ticket.
