The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th-century masterpiece and France’s largest privately owned Historic Monument, invites visitors of all ages to experience brand-new adventures. Between immersive shows and mysterious trails, the estate becomes a true playground where heritage meets imagination.
Family Secrets – An Immersive Theatrical Tour ( In French only)

Wander through the château by candlelight, meet the Guardians of Time, and try to protect the treasure carefully guarded by the families of the estate for centuries.
The château’s salons set the stage for a captivating intrigue: a mysterious brotherhood of Time Thieves spreads chaos by stealing treasures across eras. In pursuit, the Guardians of Time strive to preserve History—but their elder has just been murdered…
In this immersive experience, the audience investigates, solves puzzles, and uncovers Vaux’s greatest secret.
€30 for adults / €20 for children (under 18). This ticket includes access to the gardens and activities, but not the château visit.
Recommended age: from 6 years old.

NOUVEAUTÉ – The Carnival of the Animals (In French only)

Disaster! All the château’s animals have vanished—and it’s up to you to find them with the help of our actress! Look carefully and you’ll spot them everywhere: in paintings, frescoes, tapestries, porcelain, sculptures, and statues… To avoid scaring them away, it’s best to blend in—so children will don a Venetian cape as they search for and explain the animals’ presence!
Recommended age: 4 to 6 years old
Price: €8 per child (accompanying adult required – free. This activity is an add-on to the château entry ticket.
Dates & times: Wednesdays, October 22 and 29 – 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The Mystery of the Iron Mask: From reality to myth

In the heart of the Patte d’Oie Grove at Vaux-le-Vicomte, a cultural walk invites you to explore the fascinating mystery of the Man in the Iron Mask. This immersive trail leads visitors through a vaulted 17th-century underground passage and beyond, to hidden springs deep within the forest. At each stage, theatrical scenography presents the many theories surrounding the identity of this enigmatic prisoner.
As you progress, you’ll uncover a sequence of scenes that gradually guide you to the final revelation.
Was he a secret brother of the Sun King? Fouquet himself? A dangerous witness?
Embark on a journey with family or friends and discover a new perspective on the estate’s history!

Immersive sound visit

With headphones and a “narrator,” embark on a 3D sound journey through the epic moments of Nicolas Fouquet’s life and the creation of Vaux-le-Vicomte.
Historical figures awaken around you as you relive the death of Mazarin, Colbert and Louis XIV’s conspiracy against Fouquet, Molière and La Fontaine’s grand celebration, and Fouquet’s arrest by D’Artagnan…
The estate offers two immersive audio trails, suitable for everyone—one for adults and one for families.
