On Saturday, May 25th, the Château of Vaux‐le‐Vicomte, a family residence but also a high place of festivities in the time of Nicolas Fouquet, invites you to travel back in time to the era of the Sun King and the artists of the Grand Siècle. Every year, thousands of costumed visitors and numerous curious people flock to the doors of the Castle, dressed in their finest attire to experience a memorable day at the court of the 17th century in the ideal setting of the palace that inspired the Palace of Versailles.

Feu d'artifice durant les soirées aux chandellesThe program for this 2024 edition includes baroque dances, demonstrations of popular dances, musketeer shows, carriage rides, equestrian demonstrations by Mario Luraschi, eagle shows, stilt artists, a parade of costumed characters animated by Calixte de Nigremont, gardens illuminated by candlelight, water games in the estate’s basins, and a fireworks display of gold and silver.

At 6:00 pm, all costumed attendees will be invited to stroll in the French gardens in the presence of the master of ceremonies: Calixte de Nigremont!

Children will be kings!

Children will be able to stroll through the castle wearing period costumes. Around the basins, they will be able to rediscover 17th-century games by guiding small sailboats of all colors.
