New Artistic and Historical Trails at Vaux-le-Vicomte.

Discover a sensory, cultural, and poetic experience in the heart of the garden

At Vaux-le-Vicomte, heritage is alive. It is not merely displayed : it is lived. This summer, let yourself be surprised by our two new trails, designed for all ages. They invite you to experience the estate in a new way, through textures and mysteries.

  • The Trail of Textures: Barefoot sensorial path

What if taking off your shoes allowed you to truly feel , barefoot, the materials that make up Vaux-le-Vicomte?

This walk offers a unique sensory experience: follow the path of the underground river barefoot and feel under your feet the very materials of the estate, from the roughness of sandstone cobbles to the coolness of white marble, or the density of slate.

A tactile and immersive experience, perfect for children and adults seeking a reconnection with nature.

This immersive trail leads visitors through a vaulted 17th-century underground passage and beyond, to hidden springs deep within the forest. At each stage, theatrical scenography presents the many theories surrounding the identity of this enigmatic prisoner.

As you progress, you’ll uncover a sequence of scenes that gradually guide you to the final revelation.
Was he a secret brother of the Sun King? Fouquet himself? A dangerous witness?

Embark on a journey with family or friends and discover a new perspective on the estate’s history!
