“André Le Nôtre at Vaux-le-Vicomte”
“The seminal work of French Formal Garden”, housed in the basement of the château, is a large audiovisual display, in which Le Nôtre himself explains to Nicolas Fouquet the different stages of landscaping the estate. This room will help visitors to better understand the genius of Le Nôtre, and to more fully enjoy their walks in the gardens.
Don’t miss it! It is situated after the kitchens, and will help you discover Le Nôtre’s tricks and optical illusions in the French Formal Garden of Vaux-le-Vicomte, considered as his masterpiece!
